Chic Shoulders

A swimwear trend that is taking the runway by storm this season is the asymmetrical one-shouldered swimsuit. Appearing in both one-piece and two-piece suits, this asymmetric style features a strap on only one shoulder while the other remains bare. Therefore, you can enjoy the support of a single strap and sport a unique and fun look. Several swimwear designers are adopting this trend, making it a surefire way to remain cool for the summer.

Caffé Swimwear rocked this look on the runways of Miami Fashion Week. They stood out with their simple but sleek designs, including the one-shouldered black bikini top with a knotted strap. They remain innovative and classy with the one-piece, one-shouldered black suit with a diagonal cutout design. With suits like these, you too can flaunt what you got like you're on a runway!

Dolores Cortés showcased the one shouldered look with an adorable patterned print in grey and black. One suit comes in the form of a ruffled bikini top with black, boy short-style bottoms with zipper detailing. A second suit appears as a monokini with a mesh strap that extends from one shoulder down to the bottom of the suit. You already know how much we love mesh from our recent Meshing Well article so this suit is a success in our book.

The one-shouldered trend also found its way into the designs of Michael Kors. He offers a white one-piece, a classy option for displaying this trend, complete with rouching across the midsection and at the strap. If you would prefer to walk a little bit on the wild side, he also offers a feisty leopard print one-piece with a cut out on one side. Whether you want to be mild or untamed, these swimsuits are sure to please any crowd.

Victoria's Secret is always quick to hop onto hot trends, and this one is no exception! They have a great selection of one-shouldered bikinis that can come in a classic black or a fun print, ensuring that there is a style to fit any preference.

Want to go out of the summer in style? Bare your shoulders (or one of them, at least) with one of these fabulous swimsuits and soak up what's left of the summer sun.
